The Malvern Hills provided an excellent distraction for the more active members of our group, with various walks within easy reach. Nearby there are plenty of other options – like the much-recommended Elizabethan manor Harvington Hall, and Barnfield wine and cider mill, where local wines are manufactured and ready to be tasted.
Ombersley is a quaint picture of Tudor buildings, and a selection of cosy pubs gave us plenty of options for finding that all-important Sunday lunch. In the end we opted for cosy, tucked-away Cross Keys inn, where the locally-caught game comes highly recommended.
